Give me any makeup tips/advice you have, Best one gets best answer?

Keep it NATURAL. Stray from lipliners, being decked out in makeup and unnatural colours (ie: green, purple, magenta, blue. They're fun to play with, but unless you shop at Libby Liu FORGET IT). For a natural look I give this advice to everyone:

Good colours: Silver (makes your eyes pop! Especially when you put a dab of it near your tear ducts with matching colours), black, gold and brown eyeshadow.

If you want to make your eyes look bigger, keep your top eyelids lined or brushed with something dark and the bottom lids lined with something light (or not at all). For smaller eyes, just do the opposite. Liquid eyeliner is best for meticulous looks, and pencil liner best for smudged, sultry looks (although I find pencil runs more than liquid).

Make sure to curl your lashes, to give yourself an awake look to make your eyes even bigger. As for mascara, keep it natural and only include your lower lashes if you want a flirty look. An eyelash brush is a MUST HAVE for clumps!!

If your eye makeup stays subtle, go for a red lip if you dare, but otherwise choose a glossy, light-coloured lip (colours bring attention to smaller mouths, but keep them subtle if you've decked yourself out in eyemakeup!).

And pinch your cheeks if you want a natural flush ;]Give me any makeup tips/advice you have, Best one gets best answer?
Pencil eyeliner sucks. Liquid is the best because it actually stays on. Get a color that matches your complexion and your eye color the best. For hazel/green brown or black is the best. Black looks terrible on blue eyes. I'd try a more subtle grey. For mascara if you have small eyelashes, use covergirl lash exact. It's kinda got this plastic brush that seperates your lashes really nicely. For big lashes try Rimmel London's LashMAXXX mascara. It really intensifies your eyes and makes your lashes gorgeous. I always carry around a stick of coverup; one that matches my skin color to apply on my undereyes. If i'm not wearing it on my undereyes I look tired. For foundation never use liquid, you'll break out in zits. ALWAYS use powder. Get one that is a little bit darker than your skin color so you don't look like barbie and brush it on your face AND your shoulders so you don't just have a darker face. Btw- for mascara, get a color that works best. Black or brown; you decide. Whatever suits your personality is the best.Give me any makeup tips/advice you have, Best one gets best answer?
does make up look write when i put top eyeliner and mascara but not bottom eyeliner......
To define cheek bones:

Suck in your cheeks so you can see where they are

apply bronzer (not really really dark just a light 1) under the cheekbone to the hairline apply a highligher powder above the bronzer again to the hairline then smile and apply the cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend the blush in
for a sexy but subtle look, use eyeshadow instead of eyeliner. use the side of the shadow brush and use it as though it were eyeliner.

avoid applying mascara to the bottom lashes- it makes your eyes look smaller.

don't use lip liner, it looks harsh to start with, and when the lipstick fades you're left with a bizarre line around your mouth.

highlight your eyes by putting silver or white eyeshadow on your brow bone from the center of your eye to the outside.

getting a highlighter powder can work wonders.

if you don't have a curling mascara, use an eyelash curler.
1) If you have decent to great skin, don't use foundation. use at least moisturizer and at most either one of the mineral sheer powders or a tinted moisturizer with SPF - Clinique makes a good one.

2) eyeliner and mascara are must haves. If you put on nothing else, this'll make you look dressed up. Use greys, browns, and purples are great for green, hazel and blue eyes. black eyeliner only looks really good on people with really dark eyelashes. gel or cream eyeliners are my personal favorite, esp. Smashbox, as they cost a bit more, but last forever.

3) very few people need lipliner. use a good lipgloss or stain for a natural look.

- Make up should make you look like a better version of you, but still very natural. don't overdo it. In this, as in many things, less is more!

Katrina
if you have small eyes dont wear eye liner. and if you use dark eye shadows put it on the outer corners and maybe a lighter shade on the other corner. if you have blue eyes use blue eye liner eye shadows can be blue black green white pink brown eyes use red brown black green green eyes use green silver blue if you have full lips dont use lip liner but if you have thin use it dont put mascara on the bottom eye lashes

Unfortunately you really can't...which sucks. Just be there for her, if they have a fight and she's upset, take her for a drink (coffee, alcoholic) and just be a friend. It sucks so bad when you see someone you care about getting hurt and there's nothing you can do. She'll realize it on her own, and that's the only thing that will get her to change it. Good luck, you're a good friend :)

I know it sounds crazy, but Ivory soap works really well for me. I am actually surprised at how well it works because it's just soap. If you're going to try it, buy the plain white kind without any scents or anything and wash your face with it when you wake up and before you go to bed. I tried another kind of soap once and it didn't work. What is the BEST acne advice?
i don't know any meds from drug stores or home remedies but what works for me is Proactive. i also have bad skin. its very oilly and whatnot and i got Proactive and about 3 days later i was clear. i don't have the number or anything but they always have commercials on tv and ads on the internet.
You need to listen to me.

Buy the acne treatment from acne.org or danielkern.com. It really works!

Use a gentle skin cleanser, like cetaphil. Pat dry. Wait 5 min. and ten apply a small amount of the acne gel (increase the amount as time goes on). Wait 15 min. then apply an oil free moisturizer.

Also, never EVER touch your face.
Use proactive, ive been using it for about a year and i dont know if you have seen the commercials on tv, but there sooo true. Id deffinetly reccomend it !! Goodluck

What would you say is the best part of being pregnant, and what advice would you give to me about conceiving?

I am so excited my boyfriend and i are finally going to try to have a baby. What would you say is the best part of being pregnant, I hope that we will get it on our first try but if you have any advice that would be wonderful thanks so much! What would you say is the best part of being pregnant, and what advice would you give to me about conceiving?
My advice? Get married first. The best part about being pregnant is knowing that the father of your child cared enough to make a legal, lifetime commitment to you. I'm not talking about morals or religious values, I'm talking about the courage and to take that step and really commit.

I know you won't like this answer, but doesn't it bother you just a little that he won't marry you? What would you say is the best part of being pregnant, and what advice would you give to me about conceiving?
The best part is the whole thing!!!! It's very exciting!!!!! If I had to pick one thing it would be the first time you feel the baby move, and there is no mistake that, that is what you felt!!! First sonogram ranks right up there too along with telling people that you are pregnant!!!! You lucky thing. Good luck trying!!!!! (That's fun too)
my favorite thing was when i was first pregnant and not showing i felt like i had an intimate very special secret that i could share with the world if i felt like it and if i didnt it was my secret to keep :)

my conception advise 15 days after your period have some fun :) and start taking folic acid now !

ignore the ignorant comment posted from lovemyangel
if everything goes well, pregnancy will be great! its so cool when the baby moves and stuff, plus, sex is amazing when ur preggo! FYI
The best part about being pregnant is feeling your baby move for the first time and even after the first time!

As far as advice on concieving, mine was not planned! Kudos for planning your pregnancy! Go ahead and start taking prenatal vitamins.
Well for me it's between feeling he or she moving, hearing the heartbeat or having an ultrasound done ad bringing pictures, really its the excitment of knowing in a few months youll have a little baby, and being able to buy things and start a family, congrats on your decision =)
Sharing it with your husband.. NOT boyfriend
Google ';Trying to Conceive'; and you'll get some really good advice on the best times to have sex and how to tell if you are ovulating...without buying expensiv kits...you can tell by checking out...down there and what its doing...youll see what I mean. I did this and got it the first time....the best part is buying all the stuff and getting a lot of attention!
The best part about being pregnant is knowing that you are growing this amazing little person inside you and it feels like no-one can possibly have done this before you, it makes you feel so special :)

With concieving, just remember that it takes the average couple about 6-12 months to concieve, so do not get upset when it doesnt happen straight away, enjoy trying ;) and also you ovulate 14 days after the start of your period (if you have a standard 28 day cycle) so start having regular sex about 10-12 days after you start your period until the 16th day

    Good luck and enjoy
i really cant stand being pregnant. Ive been sick the entire time with the exception of like 2 weeks, week 21 and 22....only thing that keeps me going is the thought of my baby.

The only thing good so far is all the attention. People will go out of their way and do anything for you when youre pregnant. And everyone is so nice. and you can call out of work no problem and never explain why!
the best part is feeling your baby move in you
The best part of being pregnant is that you have an excuse not to have sex

or at least my wife does =(
    o congratulations!!! I loved being preggers..here's what

It good for them suxs for you because then you start to feel lonely cause your friends are doing something with their girl or boyfriends I try to find a new hobby or a new group of friends to hangout with or I will start trying to find a girlfriend for myself or just someone to hangout with and watch a movie.
I think this would depend on the age range of these guys in question. I am in my late 20's so it's natural for most of my buds to be in a committed relationship. However if I was single and in my early 20's, perhaps I may have to find a new set of friends, lol.

Best acne face wash and advice for first time-ers?

To by honest, i never washed my face with cleanser or anyting.

    yeah, i know it's bad.

and now im paying for it by getting these pimples and i really don't know what to do.

I have NO idea what all these products do and what i need and if there's an order in washing my face.

    so please help me here.

1] what is really the best when it comes to cleaning your face

    2] what do i need?

3] is there suppose to be an order to what product i use first when i wash my face?

4] any tips for better, healthy looking skin?

I know that these are alot of questions, but I hope someone knows the answers because Iam really lost and I don't want pimples/acne and oil skin/dry skin.

Any little bit of advice helps!Best acne face wash and advice for first time-ers?
You poor thing. Are you tied to drugstore brands, or can you use something from a department store? Sometimes there is a difference.

If you can afford it, try the Murad acne system. It comes with a nice gentle cleanser, an oil-free moisturizer (which will keep your skin pH balanced and healthy), and a spot treatment (along with a few other goodies). I think a month's supply for everything is $30 at Sephora, so you can try it.

The order to do things is:

    1- remove eye makeup

    2- cleans skin

3- toner (IF you choose to use one... it's not necessary)

    4- moisturize

The last step is very important. You might think that using a moisturizer will break you out, but that's not true. You break out because your skin does not have enough natural moisture, so it over-produces oil to make up for the lack of moisture.... this is when you break out! Does this make sense?

Don't use Stridex or Oxy. There is alcohol in them which will dry your skin out and produce MORE oil, leading you to more pimples, and causing you to continue using their products.

If you have a Sephora near you, go in there an ask for their skincare expert. He or she will help you and give you samples of things to try, if you want.

If you don't have a Sephora near you, you can always call their 800# and talk to a skincare expert over the phone.

    Tips for healthy skin:

    - Don't smoke

    - Drink plenty of water

    - Wash your face every night before bed %26amp; follow w/ moisturizer

    - Find products that work for you. Different things work for different people, so it may require some experimenting on your end.

Best of luck!Best acne face wash and advice for first time-ers?
lots of good products out there, I personally like the clinique bar for washing my face, and I regularly use st Ives apricot scrub, it really cleans out the pores and for moisturizer, I have been using clinique dramatically different moisturizing cream for years. my daughter uses the same products and likes them too. Biore strips are good to clean out the pores around your nose.
    -wash your face with DOVE.

    -Then use STRIDEX maximum.

-your face will have tingly feeling.

    -but it will shine.

-%26amp; it feels like it's breathing. Also you feel like you have botox, wich i never had LOL.

GOOOODLUCK! and it clears my pimples less than a week but you have to do it daily i say,
Acne is horrible we all hate having all of those bumps.

Check out this book on how to cure acne it might help you get rid of your acne problem.http://www.usfreeads.com/849239-cls.html
    Hi

This easy, effective method uses one kitchen-cupboard herbal ingredient, and calls upon the power of a warm compress to open pores and allow the healing benefits of the herb to work on blemished skin. The compress method is more comforting and quicker to use than a facial steam, but is every bit as effective.

SIMPLE SOLUTION: Here are the simple how-to instructions to help clear troubled skin:

    INGREDIENTS

    1 quart water

1/2 to 1 cup dried thyme leaves (for a VERY strong infusion)

    1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove it from the heat and add the thyme. Cover the pan and steep the mixture for 20 minutes, then strain out the herbs and discard them. Let the infusion cool to warm. (You should be able to put your hand in the infusion and keep it there for several minutes without discomfort.)

    2. Soak a clean washcloth with the infusion and wring the excess from it. With your eyes closed, place the washcloth on your face for 15 minutes. Remove the washcloth from your face and apply an astringent.

go to the web site below and do a search for acne articles..theres a great one about acne and diet etc.

    Acne

This factsheet is for people who have acne.

Acne is a skin condition that causes spots. Most people affected by acne are aged between 12 and 25.1 However, men and women in their 30s and 40s can also suffer. There are many treatments available to help deal with the condition.

    What is acne?

Acne is a skin condition that typically causes one or more of the following:

    blackheads (comedones) 2,3

    whiteheads2,3

    red or yellow spots2,3

    greasy skin2,3

    scars2,3

Acne typically affects the skin of the face, back, neck, chest and arms and the severity of the condition can vary.1,4

Acne affects people of all skin colours. The processes that cause acne are exactly the same in people with black or brown skin but the impact is altered by the skin pigmentation.

Acne is very common and affects about 80 in 100 people aged 11-30 at some time.4

    The skin

The surface of the skin has lots of small sebaceous glands just below the surface. These glands make an oily substance called sebum that keeps the skin smooth and supple.

Tiny pores (holes in the skin) allow the sebum to come to the skin surface. Hairs also grow through these pores.

Illustration showing the structure of skin

    What causes acne?

Acne is caused by the overactivity of the sebaceous glands that secrete oily substances onto the skin.

The sebaceous glands of people with acne are especially sensitive to normal blood levels of a hormone called testosterone, found naturally in both men and women.

Testosterone in people prone to acne triggers the sebaceous glands to produce an excess of sebum. At the same time, the dead skin cells lining the openings of the hair follicles (the tubes that hold the hair) are not shed properly and clog up the follicles.

These two effects combined cause a build-up of oil in the hair follicles. This causes blackheads and whiteheads to form.

For some people, their acne does not progress beyond this stage.

However in other people, the build-up of oil in the hair follicles creates an ideal environment for a bacterium called Propionibacterium acnes to grow.

These bacteria normally live harmlessly on your skin but when this ideal environment is created, they grow. They feed off the sebum and produce substances that cause a response from your body's immune system. This inflames the skin and creates the redness associated with spots.

In more severe 'inflammatory acne', cysts develop beneath the skin's surface. These acne cysts can rupture, spreading the infection into nearby skin tissue. This can result in scarring.

    Acne myths

Contrary to popular belief acne is not caused by:

    eating fatty food or chocolate1

dirt - blackheads get their dark colour through excess skin pigment - not dirt so washing more does not help, although if you do not wash your skin at all, bacteria will be able to multiply1,5

Acne is not contagious, so you cannot catch it.1

    What makes acne worse?

There are a number of things that can make your acne worse. These include the following:

picking and squeezing the spots may cause further inflammation and scarring1

stress can make acne worse in some people, although it is not clear why1,5

in women, outbreaks may be affected by the hormonal changes that occur during the menstrual cycle1,5

excessive production of male hormones such as testosterone from conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome may be another cause.5 For more information, please see the separate BUPA factsheet Polycystic ovary syndrome

some contraceptive pills may make acne worse. This is due to the type of progestogen hormone in some pills whereas some other types of contraceptive pills can improve acne - see Treatments section below. Your GP will advise you which contraceptive pill to take1,5

some medicines can make acne worse. For example, some medicines taken for epilepsy, and steroid creams and ointments that are used for eczema. Do not stop a prescribed medicine if you suspect it is making your acne worse, but tell your GP. An alternative may be an option1,5

steroids can cause acne as a side-effect1,5

    Diagnosing acne

Acne is easily recognised by the appearance of the spots, and by their distribution on the body.

There are several varieties of acne and your doctor will be able to tell you which type you have after examining your skin.

    Treatment

Acne may cause you considerable emotional distress but there is a range of treatment options to help you tackle the problem. No treatment will completely 'cure' your acne. The aims of treatment are to prevent new spots forming, to improve those already present, and to prevent scarring.3

    Home treatment

It is important to keep spot-prone areas clean, so wash the affected area twice a day with an unperfumed cleanser.1,6 The skin needs a certain amount of oil to maintain its natural condition, so avoid aggressive washing with strong soaps.

There are a number of over-the-counter remedies available from pharmacies to treat mild acne. These usually contain antibacterial agents such as benzoyl peroxide (eg Oxy and Clearasil Max).

As well as its antibacterial effects, benzoyl peroxide can dry out the skin and encourage it to shed the surface layer of dead skin. Together, these effects make it harder for pores to become blocked and for infection to develop.

Benzoyl peroxide can cause redness and peeling, especially to start with. This tends to settle down if you reduce the number of times you use it. You can then build up your use gradually.7

No home treatments for acne will work immediately. It can take weeks, if not months, for significant effects to be noticeable. If home treatments have not worked after two months, or you have severe acne, you should visit your GP.7

    Prescription medicines

Your GP may start your treatment by prescribing a preparation containing benzoyl peroxide. If this does not work, or if you have more severe acne, there are a range of other treatment options that you can either rub onto your skin (topical) or take in tablet form (oral).

    Topical treatments

There are several topical treatments you may be prescribed including those listed below:

azelaic acid (Skinoren) is an alternative to benzoyl peroxide and may not make your skin as sore as benzoyl peroxide7

topical retinoids (eg Adapalene) are medicines based on vitamin A, which are rubbed into the skin once or twice a day.7 They work by encouraging the outer layer of skin to flake off

a topical antibiotic lotion applied to the skin can be used to control the P. acnes bacteria (eg Dalacin T). Treatment needs to continue for at least six months. Preparations that combine an antibiotic with other acne medication are available (eg Benzamycin which combines an antibiotic with benzoyl peroxide)7

    Oral treatments

There are several oral treatments you may be prescribed including those listed below:

oral antibiotics (tablets), such as tetracycline, can be prescribed for inflammatory acne. They should be taken daily for around three months, although it might take four to six months for the benefits to be seen.7 The success of this treatment can be limited because the strains of bacteria are often resistant to the common antibiotics. Antibiotics do not prevent pores from becoming blocked so treatment to prevent blackheads, such as benzoyl peroxide, is often also prescribed at the same time

some types of oral contraceptive tablets help women who have acne. A combination of the usual pill hormone called ethinylestradiol with cyproterone acetate (eg Dianette) suppresses male hormone activity so is often used in women with acne4,7

isotretinoin (eg Roaccutane) is a medicine known as an oral retinoid, which also exists in a topical form (see above). Isotretinoin works by drying up oily secretions. It tends to be prescribed to people with severe forms of acne that have proved resistant to other treatments. There a number of serious side-effects of this drug, such as liver disorders and depresssion.3,7 You should not take isotretinoin if you are pregnant, as it is very dangerous to an unborn baby.7 For safety reasons, isotretinoin is only prescribed under the supervision of dermatology specialists
    This is what I use.

Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studys to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french ';green'; clay mask works very well also. It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better using the french clay. You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use a herbal astringent recipe from ';The herbal body book'; by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Use a oil free moisturizer at might on your face, neck and chest. Try taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegtables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

    Hope this helps!!!

10 points for the best advice?

    i din take drugs,,notin illegal...

but i feel i ruin my life...

    i talk behind ppls back...

    i always feel scared

    im 16

i donno wat to do10 points for the best advice?
Teens have it really rough. There is this whole thing about fitting in. I used to be scared about lots of things too. I never did anything illegal, always played by the rules and I still felt as if something was wrong with me. You need to find something that makes you happy. What are the things you like to do? When you find that then you'll be a little happier with yourself and those around you. You're 16 , you don't have to be scared of anything. Maybe you could get some counseling too. It's always good to talk things out with someone. Hope you find what you need. :)10 points for the best advice?
What you need to do is try to make friends. Even though you are popular, sit with someone who doesn't have many friends. They are usually the nicest. Or get guy friends. They won't treat you any different. They'll treat you just like you're one of the guys. Not in a bad way though. I feel this way everyday, but when I talk to my guy friends, I forget about everything. They'll make you feel happy and laughable. Good luck!
Everyone talks behinds peoples back even if people say they dont then there lying.

i think you need a girl or boyfriend as you say you always feel scared if you had a girl/boy friend they would be there for you.

Your 16 your lifes just about to begin like getting a job and getting a house So your bound to feel scaredJust relax and remeber you have people around you who love you and will be there for you.
Everyone talks about people, its a way of life, most of us cant help but to share anothers mis-fortunes. But your only 16 years old, and your still growing and learning. Life is about making mistakes, and then taking those mistakes and teaching urself from them. We all go through a stage in our life where we are a bully, or mean, or too nice and get walked all over. Its hard to find an even balance.

One thing you have to try and keep in mind everytime you do something is ';Treat others the way you would like to be treated'; I know we dont always think before we act.. but next time take a moment before you do something and say that phrase...

    Best advice for divorcing women?

my husband says he wants an amicable divorce and so do I. He makes alot more money than I do, but he wants a 50/50 splitBest advice for divorcing women?
Well most states require you to split your assets, debts, etc. 50/50, so him wanting it really has nothing to do with it. Why he wants an amicable split is so that you don't go after more money, or alimony. Since he makes more money, you are technically eligible for alimony. He is hoping the 50/50 split, whatever that means to him, will stop you from asking for it.

If you truly need alimony to get back on your feet after this divorce, then ask for it. But if you can do without, then I suggest you avoid it. It will make things difficult especially if he fights it... he cannot fight court ordered alimony but it will no longer be an amicable split, that's for sure.Best advice for divorcing women?
I did a 50/50 with mine and he made more than me. I got the child though, primary custody. If you want it amicable and can live without some of the stuff, then just do it that way. It is so much easier than fighting it out in court. But..just beware, it really never is as amicable as you want it to be...but doing it yourself and leaving the lawyers out of it will make it a whole lot closer! Good luck.
    Whatever you both agree on...

But i can see how you may not want it.

In this case you will just have to explain him that you dont believe this is yours, and you dot feel comfortable taking it.
My soon to be ex and I are going through an amicable divorce, and both of us have lawyers. Wouldn't do it without someone to look over all the legal papers.
Sounds like you already have it figured out then.

    50/50 is fair and amicable...
sounds like you are already at peace with this. You can't be any fairer that 50/50.
That will happen here in Michigan and most states no matter what. If kids are involved they judge gives you SUPPORT.
If you are willing so be it. If not, get an attorney.

I am holding F-1 visa. I will graduate in May. I am applying for OPT. I want to work for a year to save money. Then, I plan to pursue a higher education. If I can go to school next year (after the OPT), Can I applied for CPT to work full-times (off-campus) while I am in school full-time?

How likely is it that my current employment or college will help me do the CPT?

Thank youF-1 Visa?!? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
An F-1 student may be authorized by the DSO to participate in a curricular practical training program that is an integral part of an established curriculum. Curricular practical training is defined to be alternative work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum that is offered by sponsoring employers through cooperative agreements with the school.

No-one can answer you actual question as to ';how likely'; since we do not know your school, we do not know your course of study nor can we read the minds of the people who will make this decision - the only person(s) who can answer this question is the international student advisor or the appropitate department at your university.F-1 Visa?!? 10 points for the best advice. • Without giving a name; what is the best advice you've got from a Y/A contact ?

These are excerpts from actual emails he sent to me:

There's an old adage ';Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.'; The point being it's your choice whether or not to listen to negative opinions of others.

I know it's not an easy process, and feels contrary to how you've been most of your life, but you can start feeling better about yourself. Start by taking pride in the little things you do.

Breaking a life-long habit is indeed difficult, but it can be done. You're letting the negative comments affect you because they feed directly into how you feel about yourself inside. You are basically saying to yourself, ';See, I am right, they don't like me so I must be worthless.'; It's a vicious, circular reasoning, self-feeding cycle, but you can break it. Again, give yourself a break.

Since when are the conservatives the best people to be giving advice on marriage and divorce?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8鈥?/a>

think tank?Since when are the conservatives the best people to be giving advice on marriage and divorce?
Is there anything they won't try and interfere in?

It took me over 2 years, and a very aggressive solicitor to get my ex husband to agree to me divorcing him...

Even tho he was a woman beating w*nker.

Some things just can't be fixed by a 'cooling off' period.Since when are the conservatives the best people to be giving advice on marriage and divorce?
Well, on the average, conservatives tend to take the marital commitment more seriously. I said on average, not in all cases, obviously.

If you do not feel that preserving a marriage could be a worthwhile goal, then of course you would not favor any methods that would slow down the divorce process and maybe give the marriage a second chance.

What's odd, though, is that conservatives are usually reluctant to use compulsion in matters of private life, such as marriage and divorce. They think it is not the government's job.

So this would sound more like an answer that liberals would come up with, if they wanted to give troubled marriages a chance to survive.
Since they are able to spin it anyway they like. Quite a few conservatives have admitted to extra marital affairs lately but only because their spouse caught them. What a dishonest group they are turning out to be. Such hypocrites. Tories, the original Federalist in America, became the Republicans in America and yet are loyal to the whims of the Tories in Britain.
They're not of course, but nor are politicians of any party. They have all voted for legislation that makes divorce so easy, without regard to the children, and none of them seem to have opposed the benefits given to single parents at the expense of married couples. A plague on all their houses!
Conservatives are better than liberals when it comes to marriage, family unity, and harmony. I would trust them more on this issue. But if you ask me about politics, I am moderate.
Never take advice from hyprocrites but then arent we all?

They want a three-month ';cooling off'; period before they can start divorce proceedings, hmmm it's a start nothing wrong with that.
The Conservative party in Britain is quite liberal compared to the Conservative party in America.
they not good at anything even in politics. sell this, sell that, take milk off kids, ';let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer';.
Since when should any questions come from a horse's mouth?

Best Advice for Handling a Break-up with Dignity?

It's finally ended...after months of bliss...boiled down to he just wasn't in love and didn't want to hurt me...sincerely...I know that to be true. Now, I need to move on because I'm not sure he'll realize he cared more for me than he thought. Just make sure he knows that you understand why he couldn't be with you anymore. Don't try to ';seek revenge'; in any way because that would just make you appear obsessed and desperate for attention. It sounds like you are already handling this maturely, and even if he doesn't come back to you, you'll find someone new to love who will never stop loving you.

  • Is it okay to give dating advice to a girl that's older then you and likes your best friend?

I know a girl that's older then me and likes my best friend is it okay to give dating advice? Is it okay to give dating advice to a girl that's older then you and likes your best friend?
Depends on the age and the advice. If you're telling her things about your best friend that will help her start a convo with him(?) then that makes sense.

Personally...in the example of one of the people above if a 13 year old had a lot of boyfriends she would definitely not be a person I was taking relationship advice from.Is it okay to give dating advice to a girl that's older then you and likes your best friend?
Yah. Age doesn't matter. I know a 13 year old that has had more boyfriends then i have. (needless to say, i am older then that. Just FYI). If you are okay with her liking your best friend, then its all good.

10 points for best advice. PLEASE HELP ME?

I was thinking about getting a masters degree, most likely in history. Than I want to go to law school and earn a dual degree jd/mba. Do you think this is an unnecessary amount of school.

P.S. the masters degree would be more personal, but the jd/mba would be to further my future career as a corporate lawyer.10 points for best advice. PLEASE HELP ME?
I'm probably a little biased, because I have an MBA, a Ph.D., and a J.D., but while it may not be ';necessary';, in the strictest sense of the word, if you can afford it and this would satisfy both who you want to be and what you want to do in life, go for it. It sounds like your reasons for this are good - I know that I had to question both whether I was trying to avoid something else in life and whether I was trying to compete with my sister as I got my later degrees. If this is what will satisfy you, why not?10 points for best advice. PLEASE HELP ME?
My cousin had the same problem.

I would say that getting the masters degree would be a lot of school. But it opens your world to a new level of great jobs. Being a corporate lawyer would be an awesome opportunity for you.

About the money problem, a lot of people have the same problem. I think that the best thing to do before you go to get a masters agree, is save some money in a bank account.
I'm sure other people will think that, but if you enjoy learning or this amount of schooling is necessary to your future career, then it's not. If it's something you want to do, it's not unnecessary.
I think you should go cause you'd be learning more and it would help you futher in life in what you want to be right. And if you have the chance then go.
Yes you can never get enough preparation and the higher the degree, the better. it show your dedication and commitment...

Why can we give the best advice but its so hard to take advice?

I want to thank all of you who took the time or taking the time to lend me some advice after leaving my H four days ago. Isnt it funny that I know what I have to do %26amp; you all told me the same but it isnt that easy. Should I give up? Walk away find someone better, more sensitive, etc. Are there really sensitive men out there? Are we all better off living for ourselves %26amp; hooking up now %26amp; again. My H %26amp; I spent endless nights discussing ';our'; marriage %26amp; what we wouldnt do, we wont become them, its going to be awesome, nothing will change? Well,as we were told, marriage does change even the better than worse relationships. Look, we are all on the pc at 1:50am looking for the ';answer'; or ';why'; Sorry everyone, I just get so mad how the hell did this happen? This is just too hard for me to even comprehend. 5 mths! It's almost a joke %26amp; thats all I can do is laugh. Do I really just move on? Isnt the 1st yr the hardest? Are we really hopeless? Sorry, dont want to play victim but this does SUCK!Why can we give the best advice but its so hard to take advice?
Before you take advice from people you don't know. You need to first listen to you. If you love him and think you can make this marriage work, then try to work things out.

You are right, the 1st year (and a few more) are hard, but that doesn't mean give up! I read your other question, and I don't think you got the ';best'; advice. Consider the sources... (and here I'm talking and you don't know me from the rest of them!)

But I will say, go to someone who knows the two of you, someone who can be a voice of reason. And have that person mediate the issues you are having with your husband. A good councilor will be able to help you there. Find one.

My marriage ended over stupid stuff. Things that could have easily been handled in an adult way, and fixed. If you love your husband, go the hard road and try to forgive and get to the bottom of your issues.

For the fourth time tonight, I will suggest a few books that I believe could have saved my marriage if I had them before it was over...

    1. The Five Love Languages- Probably my favorite... it talks about the different ';languages'; of love we can offer to each other. Everyone has one or two that are their main love language, and if you are not communication to you spouse in THEIR love language, then they probably won't feel loved... great book.

    2. Love and Respect- it talks about the different needs of a husband and a wife. It relates to each of you. It's split in certain areas to directly talk to you and to your husband. It talks about how women see things thru ';pink glasses'; and men see things thru ';blue glasses';. It's eye opening...It's wonderful.

    3. Friendship Factor- This one is SO basic. It was like a light going off in my head each time I turned a page. It helps you realte to others better as WELL as your husband.

I would read them in that order...together with your husband. You can find them in the Christian/ Religious section of most bookstores. And don't worry, they aren't overly ';holy'; if you are weirded out by Christian books. It's just that God designed man and woman for each other, and boy oh boy does HE have some good principles to build on. The books are very relatable and easy to read quickly.

Go get advice from a source that you can trust. Know that my heart is with you as you are suffering. And I hope that you can see past this incident, and try to make some sort of sense of the issues you are having. Why can we give the best advice but its so hard to take advice?
Advice is available at free of cost n very easy.

Practical implementation is very hard. B/c 1. choose d best advice wisely. 2.Implemetentation by thyself only(not by advicers)3.Face d challengs also in same way.4.Gain n loss 4 thyself only.Advicers hav no hand. Again they r redy 2 give more advice.

Conclusion: Wen u need advice there are lot of ppl, wen u implement n face it u r alone.
The first two years of marriage are the hardest. It's a huge adjustment, but it's worth it. I remember hearing a psychologist telling a couple ';just love each other';. It's simple...but hard to do. But moving from marriage to marriage is just as difficult. Just know that you will go through rough times.

    Good luck.
actually when we are given advice, it is easy. but when we are applying it, this is hard.your problem is solved by the herself not another persons.
we see others more clearly than we see ourselves. (which should not be the case)
How doe,s one ever get over loving a H? as far as being better off living alone..i am and its realy freakin tuff.but i am doing it. me myself..another guy is the farthest from my mind right now. and probably for the next year. and your question..how the hell did this happen..if you figure it out let me know...please. hang in there. open a bx of puffs.go ahead cry, scream, wonder why.i am. shyloh.

What is the best advice you've ever recieved? Who'd you recieve it from?

My grandma used to tell me when I'd whine or complain about something that it'll all be better by the time I got married. I know it sounds cheesy, but that advice has gotten me through some rough times, maybe it wasn't so much the advice but who told it to me.What is the best advice you've ever recieved? Who'd you recieve it from?
When I was a teen-ager an adult friend told me this concerning pre-marital sex....Her husband and her were high school sweethearts and planned on getting married....and naturally he wanted to go ahead and be intimate...she agreed but told him this....'; If I get pregnant I will not marry you because I would always wonder if you actually married me because of the baby or because you loved me';. That really hit home to me....it made me rethink my actions and be more 'careful ' with the decisions I made because I did not want to spend my life wondering why my partner was with me. Needless to say my husband and I were married 5 years before we had children. What is the best advice you've ever recieved? Who'd you recieve it from?
i have no idea, ive gotten a lot of advice from teachers and coaches, but i remember humor more than anything- ';when you assume, you look like a jackass';- mr. steffy
My mom told me ';Do never give up from your dreams';. That was definitely the best advice that I received.
';If it looks bad, get out!'; Everytime I ignored this profound relationship advice it has cost me dearly...

It came from an older policeman when I was a young policeman. He was wise even beyond his years.
From my dad, ';If we were all the same the world would be boring';.

From my dad, ';If we all liked the same thing there would not be enough to go around';.

Two tidbits that have proved to be valuable in my life.
on the night before my first day at 1st grade, i was really super scared... my brother said ';don't worry, after about 2 weeks, you'll be so used to it you'll forget about right now';...

    best advice ever...
If it ain't broke - don't fix it

can't remember who told me that though
My dad told me ';A man is only as good as his word.'; One of the few things he told me in my early teen years I actually listened to.
My Father - God helps those who help themselves
Do try to grow up so fast....guess what I did and I should have listened to my mom.
when an ex %26amp; I were arguing in the weight room %26amp; he stormed out....

a complete stranger who had witnessed this came over %26amp; told me that I would be completely over him, when I fell in love with someone else....

    it was true....
Another cheesy saying ';Don't count your chickens before they hatch';. My mother would say this time and again when I was younger during times that I would count of something that may or may not come to pass. It taught me to think ahead concerning outcomes of certain situations. I had to stop and think about the pros and cons of my actioins. One example was I got my first job and borrowed money from a friend for a frivolous item. I was counting on my first paycheck to cover the amount of the loan. I ended up totally hating the job and quit 3 days later. NO big paycheck, had to face my friend and tell her I couldn't pay the money back right away, and ended up with an item that ended up not being so great after all.
Those who get ahead in life do so not b/c they're the smartest, but b/c they worked the hardest. My dad.
';Don't masturbate with a cheese grater'; - great advice that Uncle Pappy gave us all.....
Well not exactly advice, but interpretations. Her name is Chloe and she helps me out with my dreams. She is on my contacts. She is very nice, I love her for what she does.
    from my boss...he said..';think quickly but talk slowly,, you should listen first and let the others finish what they are saying before you say your words...';

ANYHOW PLEASE SYSTEMIZE UR TIME FIRST BEFORE U WANT ANY RELATIONSHIP WITH GIRLS. LOOKING A GIRLS WHICH IS VERY AGGRESSIVE AND ALSO WORKHARD IN HER JOB MAY HELP U TO SOLVE UR PROBLEM
It may be difficult to do both at the same time then. Unless you find a woman who is very understanding, and knows that your studies come first and she will come second. Best of luck !!
I suggest you find a girlfriend who is at university, school, or college as well, maybe even at the same one you are at. Join groups or clubs so you can be social even while you're studying, and this may open up doors to meet girls. This way, your future girlfriend will understand the pressures of study and time management because she will be in the same position as you. Good luck!

Dog experts, I need your help! Best advice please?

My husband and I have two children. The youngest, who is 6, is autistic and for the most part non-verbal. We recently adopted a 1 year old dog, who is 1/2 Lab, 1/2 German Shepherd. He's a beautiful dog, seemed so sweet and intelligent, but we have a big problem. In the past few days, he has tried to bite my youngest son. My son is a very sweet child who is gentle with animals, and did nothing to provoke the behavior. The dog is an angel with me, my husband, and my older son, but singles out my youngest when he gets too close. I'm frankly scared, and right now the dog is outside and I'm not bringing him back in except during the day while the kids are at school. Should I try to find him a good home where there are no small children? I love the dog, but he is VERY strong, and if he were to attack my child or a neighbor's child, I'm not sure I would be able to get him pulled off in time. So far it's only been growling and snapping, next time I'm afraid it could be an all-out attack.Dog experts, I need your help! Best advice please?
Autistic children have a hard time with pets. Dogs are social animals, they have a ';pack order'; and everyone behaves with-in that order, or they are disicplened. Autism is a lack of social skills. Your son doesn't understand the dogs non-verbal communication, and, he is giving off all the wrong ';signals'; to the dog. Autism shouldn't keep your son from having a pet, even a dog, but I would contact someone who really understands dog behavior, and explain your situation. (a good breeder, some shelter workers, or,your best bet, a behaviorist) Some breeds are going to be better suited to your son than others. German Shepherds are a dominate breed, that is why they excell at protection work. Rotts should be avoided, along with terriers, chows and shar pies. Some breeds that should be good are collies(smooth or rough), golden retrievers, pugs, Australian Shepherds, %26amp; Keeshond.

I hate to say this, but you need to rehome your dog. I think it is great that you turned to rescue to get a dog, and you still can, just be sure whoever you work with understands your son.Dog experts, I need your help! Best advice please?
I am sorry to hear that you are in theis situation, it is hard and painful for the whole family. Some dogs just do not do well with small children, I have had two ocassions where I have delt with this. One was a rotwieler/lab mix, it was my dog, she was great with my family but posed great risk to other children. I tried to put her into several homes, but they all returned her to me because of the reaction she had with their children. She was eventually put to sleep because I could not even get an animal shelter that could find suitable arrangements for her. The other involved a neighbors german shepard, the dog had been growling and snapping at children in the neighborhood, well, one day while my 6 year old son was out playing this dog came acroos the yard at him and bit his sweat shirt at the neck and kept hold and pulled him to the ground, my son balled himself up and was crying while dog shook him. It took 2 people to drag that dog away from my son. He was not injured, he was just very upset by the incident. The owners of that dog kept the dog, and it continues to growl at even their own child...It is a tragedy waiting to happen. My children are no longer allowed to play near that house, and it is sad because their child has less children to play with and none of the kids in the neighborhood are allowed over there. Keep in mind, besides the devestaion of the dog biting a child, you can lose your home if the dog bites someone. It would be in your familys and the dogs best intrest to find the dog a home with no children. Good Luck.
Please get rid of him. That mean I know but what if he bites your face and draws blood. He will never let up. Get a boxer or pup. best of luck.
I'd find a new home for the dog. I'm actually shocked that the dog is just doing this to one of the children though. Both breeds are very calm dogs, good with children.
If I was in your position I would find a new home for the dog. As much as you love it, I am sure you love your son more. It sounds like you already know that this is the right thing to do. I'm sorry that you have to make such a difficult decision.
This is a very tough situation! It could be the case that the dog sees your youngest son as an equal or even an inferior, and not as above him on the totem pole (the way he views the rest of the family). So your son could do nothing to provoke him and still bring on biting. I would say, if you have the time and money (and energy) to invest in training the dog, possibly with a behavioral specialist, there is hope. You must also involve your son -- perhaps (with supervision) get your son to be the one who doles out the food for your dog, who participates in the training sessions.

But, given the constraints you named and the youth of your son, this may not be possible. I'm a fervent dog lover and I believe in trying all avenues before giving up a dog, but the safety of your family, and your well-being, must come first. If you feel doubtful that you can safely keep this dog, then find another home for him. :(
yea i think jenn_a answered very well. there are alot of dogs that are kind of confused in a way by autistic children and adults. and that doesnt make the dog a bad dog, just a miscomunication. i have a terrier who is a wonderful sweet loyal dog and one time an autistic person came up to her and started talking alittle to loud to tori(my dog)and she growled at her. i was very dissapointed but i had to realize that even some people cant understand an autistic person much less some dogs. i hope your son doesnt think that he did anything wrong or the dog 'hates' him, that is a sad situation, i've seen it. but there are certain dogs out there that will know how to handle and confront your son. good luck :) but if you decide to find the dog another home, please be sure to find a very good home that will treat him as you guys would have been able too. and in my opinion, adoption and rescues are the best way to go.
I don't know if you knoe dog like to be the alhap some if they think someone or dog is weak they will pick them off. I am sorry to say if your don't feel comfortable with the dog you should give rid of him. The dog could become mean. Not because the dog wants to it is just what they do in the wild.
Find a new home for the dog. Let any potential owner know about the dog's behavior. The dog might not be good for small children, but make a great companion dog for an adult.
Place the dog in another home. For the dog's sake and your son's sake.

If the dog bit your son and did a lot of damage the dog would be villainized.

Just find him a good home.
Don't get rid of him...talk to your vet..a long time ago afriend of mine got this wonderful dog from a shelter..he was good for both of the adults that were in the home..plus he was good for the 10 yr old...but for some reason he was a little nasty to the 1 yr old...come to find out the smell of baby food that was inprinted on the baby made the dog act different..come to find out the owners before them use to throw baby food at the dog..it was a reminder of abuse..just talk to your vet first
you have an EXTREMELY problematic dog on your hands. It is important to look at the history of the dog when you adopt. Was the dog abused by a previous owner? If not, I am sorry to say it, but you have to get rid of the animal.

If you're happy with your life, why try to change it? Do what pleases you. Too many people end up in relationships these days, simply because they can't stand to be alone.

Well done for standing up and being an independent woman! Keep doing what you're doing!
There's really no point in being with someone because you think you should be, it's not fair to either of you.

It's great that you are comfortable and independent, at 22 you are still just beginning your life. Enjoy your freedom, that way if/when you do meet someone that makes you re-evaluate your lifestyle, you wont have any regrets.
just you carry on girl, when i was younger all my friends were coupling up or getting married,it wasn;t for me i went down south working for a few year.i came back home when i got fed up but got pressured into settling down.i went along with it,i was 24 when i got married 2years later we had a little girl a crippling mortgage,we had no money to go out.in the end our marriage went stale,he went off with a bimbo,i lost my home and furniture ending up in a dingy rented house.i love my daughter very much but wish i had stood my ground,i was so carefree,i was gonna see the world .do what makes you happy girl cos you don,t get a second chance of living your life
not ready to change..comfortable being alone..I think you are my long lost sister.....

At 22 that is the right idea. It is so important to be comfortable with yourself before entering into a serious relationship anyway. Have fun, You are in a great place in your life, enjoy every minute while you are single. Someday you will look back and be glad you did!
well, don't think of him as ur lover. just think of him as a really good friend who just wants to be really good friends with u 2!

I am sick of this and don't know how to control my cravings anymore. I seriously need some advice. 10 points for best answers.I really need advice with my weigh issue...10 points for best answer. ?
Everyone has their base weight due to their genetics, build, metabolism, diet, etc. For you to lose weight permanently, you have to work out almost every day and eat a little less (not much) than what you already do. Diet's are useless because you gain all of the weight back. Start running on a treadmill every other day for about 30 minutes and increase the speed and time gradually. You will lose weight over time and will be in the best shape of your life. However, you have to be committed to this as you will gain the weight back if you stop doing the cardio work. Also, don't get frustrated if it doesn't work immediately because your body has its base weight and you won't lose the pounds in one week. Stay committed and it will all work out.
