think tank?Since when are the conservatives the best people to be giving advice on marriage and divorce?
Is there anything they won't try and interfere in?

It took me over 2 years, and a very aggressive solicitor to get my ex husband to agree to me divorcing him...

Even tho he was a woman beating w*nker.

Some things just can't be fixed by a 'cooling off' period.Since when are the conservatives the best people to be giving advice on marriage and divorce?
Well, on the average, conservatives tend to take the marital commitment more seriously. I said on average, not in all cases, obviously.

If you do not feel that preserving a marriage could be a worthwhile goal, then of course you would not favor any methods that would slow down the divorce process and maybe give the marriage a second chance.

What's odd, though, is that conservatives are usually reluctant to use compulsion in matters of private life, such as marriage and divorce. They think it is not the government's job.

So this would sound more like an answer that liberals would come up with, if they wanted to give troubled marriages a chance to survive.
Since they are able to spin it anyway they like. Quite a few conservatives have admitted to extra marital affairs lately but only because their spouse caught them. What a dishonest group they are turning out to be. Such hypocrites. Tories, the original Federalist in America, became the Republicans in America and yet are loyal to the whims of the Tories in Britain.
They're not of course, but nor are politicians of any party. They have all voted for legislation that makes divorce so easy, without regard to the children, and none of them seem to have opposed the benefits given to single parents at the expense of married couples. A plague on all their houses!
Conservatives are better than liberals when it comes to marriage, family unity, and harmony. I would trust them more on this issue. But if you ask me about politics, I am moderate.
Never take advice from hyprocrites but then arent we all?

They want a three-month ';cooling off'; period before they can start divorce proceedings, hmmm it's a start nothing wrong with that.
The Conservative party in Britain is quite liberal compared to the Conservative party in America.
they not good at anything even in politics. sell this, sell that, take milk off kids, ';let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer';.
Since when should any questions come from a horse's mouth?
