What's the best advice you've ever been given? By who?

When I started work at an insurance company, a woman who worked there and had been a long time friend told me to ';CYA'; (Cover your a$$) and that's been the very best advice I've ever gotten!!!! (In other words, keep exact and detailed records of what goes on, is said %26amp; is done to be able to prove how things went down!!)
