the best thing to do is to tell him straight
YOu just have to tell him but if he don't anymore let it go because i did that and a month later we broke up!
If he doesnt know already id save your precious breath!

but...I think you should sit down with him, and try and break it to him gently...if he USED to hurt you, let him know that, but also let him know he's a lot better now, and you appreciate that. Because then you're not ending on a bad note...you're ending on a good one. :]
just come right out and say it no use holding back and maybe you can discuss how to change it.......the best relationship is an open and honest relationship

the pain that u felt, u could never go thru it again. u could be there for him when needed but u just can't be with him.
to be honest be upfront and say to him straight if he was a genuine sincere guy you should be able to say to him straight down the line he used to hurt you and upset you and tell him how he did do this and be open with him if you do you will find out if he is a genuine guy as he should acknowledge what he did was wrong and if he is any sort of real guy he would apologise you need to say to him look we need to talk and sit down and say to him you did this and that it upset and hurt me then give your reason for this good luck and best wishes
