What should I expect from dating a marine in regard to his personality and attitude wises...

smart, know-it-all, most of them know that they are superior...typical sports loving, cussing, hunting, rough attitudes...they aren't all like this but most military guys I know are like this...Typical marine lover? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
As a prior military, been married to military before. Everyone is different and has such different sometimes complex personalities. Marine? He probably either (1) loves his Country and the Marines come first OR (2) joined the Marines for a stable income, and a better life. Sounds like you do not know this Marine very well......yet. Does he deploy? Do you mind if he goes to Iraq for a year? What if he gets extended for another 6 months after that? Can you handle being alone? As far as dating, time will tell. Me personally (and no offense to other military out there but I speak from experience here) there are a lot of divorces in the military due to infidelity (often caused by physical separation from eachother). Are his other buddies married or single? If they are paired up do they seem happy? Maybe if you meet other Marine wifesand GF's you can get a better idea of their lives in the military. If you get married - remember you are marrying the Marines as well as him. Semper Fi!!!!! LOL.
well once your a marine you are one for life. I only worked with them in my job doing marriage counseling. Everyone is different though but marine men usually project a strong leadership direct personality. They want to hear the bottom line in a problem. They don't like drama in relationships. They do not like it if you have a problem and ask someone elses advice. they are private people. every marine i met is honorable. they respect direct strong women but women who are diplomatic with their honesty and classey. All this data is based on what ive seen in 15 years. so be careful on taking my advice. but that is what ive seen.
Hanging with the guys is important to him so don't try to conflict with that.





He'll also be kind of a macho prick sometimes, but a lot of women dig that.





Outside of that, it depends on the person. Even marines have their own individual personalities.
know up front that he has taken on a great responsibility and that their personality can arrange from being very serious to down right hilarious.
Do not play games. He will be a gentleman until he has reason to be otherwise. Have fun and feel protected.
